01/The Problem
Your follow-up is either too slow, too generic, or simply not happening.
Someone fills your onboarding form and gets a generic auto-reply and silence. A buyer RSVPs for your event and hears nothing until the day before. An applicant submits to your scheme and does not know if anyone received it. The intention to follow up is there - but building the sequence, personalising it, and keeping it running across email and WhatsApp requires tools and time most teams do not have. Sequence is the tool.
02/Functional Overview
Connect Sequence to any data source - a form, an event platform, a CRM, a webhook from any system - and define what happens next. A welcome message immediately. A personalised follow-up on day three. A reminder with context a week later. A final nudge before a deadline closes. Each message is built from the actual submission data — not just a name token, but the specific context of that person's interaction. Built specifically for India's WhatsApp-first communication reality, Sequence delivers through the channel most likely to be seen and acted on. You build the sequence once. It runs for every lead, every applicant, every registrant from that point forward.
03/Origin & Rationale
Where it came from: Sequence was built as the notification and communication automation module inside a large government CRM platform for Tamil Nadu's MSME sector. The platform served thousands of vendors, buyers, and programme officers — and needed to communicate with each of them contextually, across email, SMS, in-app, and WhatsApp, at the right moment in their journey.
What we built had to handle campaign approval alerts, participant invitations, RSVP confirmation sequences, pre-event reminders, and post-event follow-ups - all automatically, all personalised, all bilingual. It ran without a dedicated communications team managing it. That is the system we productised. Sequence is built for any organisation running communication at that kind of scale.
04 / Proven Deployments
A government MSME platform - replacing manual outreach with automated, contextual communication at scale.
Our client runs a large vendor and buyer community for Tamil Nadu's MSME sector, managing regular trade campaigns, events, and programme updates. The community spans thousands of participants across multiple stakeholder categories. Communication - invitations, confirmations, reminders, follow-ups - needed to be timely, personalised, and delivered through WhatsApp as much as email, because that is how this community actually communicates.
The situation before: All outreach was manual. Campaign invitations were written and sent individually. RSVP confirmations went out one by one. Pre-event reminders depended on whoever had time to send them. WhatsApp messages were sent from personal phones with no record, no tracking, and no consistency. The team's communication burden grew with every campaign, and the experience for participants varied depending on who was managing their intake that week.
Platform build
End-to-end notification automation: invitations, reminders, follow-ups, multi-channel delivery, bilingual messaging, and personalised workflows.
Outcome Impact
Teams shifted from manual messaging to exception-based management. Real-time, event-triggered communication improved engagement and operational visibility.
05 / Deployment Phases
/Phase 01
Map your sequences: We identify the two or three communication flows that matter most — your highest-volume, highest-stakes touchpoints. We map the trigger, the steps, the timing, and the personalisation logic for each.
/Phase 02
Build and test: We build the sequences, connect the triggers, and test against real data samples. You review every message and every timing rule before anything goes live.
/Phase 03
Live and iterating: The sequences run. We monitor delivery rates and engagement in the first few weeks, adjust based on what the data shows, and hand full control to your team.

ORIGIN
Built for StartupTN to power their startup funding programmes — TANSEED, TANFUND, SC/ST Fund, and TANICORN — where multi-stage application reviews across committees and programme officers were running entirely on spreadsheets and email. The platform included a visual no-code workflow builder so programme officers could configure and modify approval logic themselves, without raising a development request.
