01/The Problem
Running a serious B2B event is still surprisingly broken.
Most event organisers are stitching together four or five tools - a form for registrations, a spreadsheet for check-ins, a WhatsApp group for communication, and nothing at all for matchmaking. The result is a lot of manual work, a lot of missed connections, and an admin team that is exhausted before the event even opens. If you are running a trade fair, an industry summit, or an ecosystem event where the real value is in who meets whom, that patchwork does not cut it.
02/Functional Overview
Nexus starts before your event opens. Admins configure registration flows, define attendee categories - vendors, buyers, delegates, speakers - and set matchmaking criteria, all without touching code. Attendees register, receive confirmation sequences automatically, and arrive at check-in with a QR code. On the day, check-in runs on any device. The matchmaking engine surfaces relevant connections based on attendee profiles and stated intent. The built-in marketplace lets vendors list products and buyers browse before they even walk the floor. After the event, the admin dashboard gives you a full picture: attendance, matchmaking outcomes, marketplace engagement, and exportable data for follow-up.
03/Origin & Rationale
Where it came from: Nexus was built as the event and community management module inside a large government CRM platform for Tamil Nadu's MSME sector. The brief was demanding: handle large-scale Vendor Development Programmes and Reverse Buyer-Seller Meets where structured commerce - not just attendance — was the primary outcome. extracted, refined, and made available as a standalone product.

Our client is a Tamil Nadu government body - the Bureau for Facilitating MSMEs of Tamil Nadu. Before: Events were managed across disconnected tools. Matchmaking did not exist.
