Pulse runs continuously in the background. 03/Origin & Rationale
Pulse was built as the intelligence agent inside a large AI Readiness platform commissioned by Tamil Nadu's startup ecosystem body. The requirement was specific: continuously monitor the startup sector across digital platforms, perform sentiment analysis, extract entities and trends, and surface signals that matter to programme officers managing funding and evaluation programmes.
What we built had to run without manual curation, deliver high signal-to-noise outputs, and feed structured data into evaluation and scoring systems downstream. It did all three. And once we saw how much cleaner decision-making became when intelligence was systematic rather than incidental, we productised it. Pulse is that agent - available for any team that needs to stay close to a fast-moving sector without building a research function.
04 / Proven Deployments
StartupTN - continuous ecosystem intelligence for a government startup programme.
Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission manages funding, evaluation, and ecosystem development programmes for startups across the state. Its programme team needs to stay current on startup ecosystem developments - emerging sectors, funding trends, policy changes, and market signals - to make better decisions about which startups to back and how to evolve their programmes. The challenge was doing this at scale, continuously, without a dedicated research function.
The situation before: Ecosystem intelligence was reactive and inconsistent. There was no structured system to monitor what was happening across the startup sector in real time. Signals came through personal social feeds, occasional news checks, and word of mouth. Leadership teams were often uninformed about developments that directly affected their programme decisions. When briefings did happen, they were manual, irregular, and dependent on whoever had time to pull them together.
